On the 14th January we were delighted to be able to attend the unveiling of a memorial bench in honor of Mr Neville Stone, one of of our members who sadly died last year.
The bench was also dedicated to the memory of Acting Pilot Officer Jim Catt and Ms Ella Coomber who died when Plt Off Catt's Gloster Gladiator Bi-plane crashed into a house on the edge of the green in January 1939.
On Sunday the 28th January the CDVSA held a short service at the Bricklayers Arms in Whitehill Road.
This service is held each year to remember the crew of the USAF B25 Maurader "Hell's Belle" which crashed behind the Bricklayers Arms on the 26th January 1944 sadly killing her crew.
As our membership grows, so does the challenge of communication! We've created a new website to promote events and activities, and we're also starting to use a new email platform called MailChimp to help us stay in touch.
